Why AuDHD needs its own national voice
People with co-occurring autism and ADHD often face systems that misunderstand complexity, punish inconsistency, and overlook support needs. The Council exists to change that — through advocacy, education, and practical reform focused on work and professional life.
Advocacy
Influencing policy, standards, and public understanding.
Workplace Reform
Promoting inclusive employment practices that actually work.
Membership & Community
Building a lived-experience-led national voice.
Advocating for change
Australia's national peak body for AuDHD in the workplace — influencing policy, employer practice, and professional membership structures so people with AuDHD can thrive.
Workforce Participation
Advance workforce participation, retention, and career sustainability for people with AuDHD across Australia.
Systemic Advocacy
Advocate for fair, inclusive, and evidence-based employment, training, and professional systems affecting people with AuDHD.
Public Understanding
Promote public understanding of the workforce, wellbeing, and systemic impacts of AuDHD across the career lifespan of members.
Education & Resources
Develop and disseminate educational resources, guidance, and policy submissions relating to inclusive workforce and professional practices.
Collaboration
Facilitate collaboration and coordination between autism, ADHD, employment, and professional bodies to reduce duplication and systemic fragmentation.
Equity & Inclusion
Promote equity of access and inclusion for under-represented groups, including adults diagnosed later in life, women, gender-diverse people, First Nations peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and people in regional and remote Australia.
"Finding out I was AuDHD wasn't just a diagnosis to me, it was the key to understanding myself and the opposing forces in my brain finally made sense"— Sarah, Community Member (Naarm / Melbourne)
