Our Mission

To improve employment access, retention, and career sustainability for people with AuDHD by influencing workforce policy, employer practice, and professional membership structures.

Our Purpose

We focus on representing AuDHD professionals from the time they enter the workforce, all the way through their career, and into leadership positions.

We address structural barriers and help build environments where AuDHD professionals can thrive in the workplace.

What we do

Advance workforce participation, retention, and career sustainability for people AuDHD across Australia.

Advocate for fair, inclusive, and evidence-based employment, training, and professional systems affecting people with AuDHD.

Promote public understanding of the workforce, wellbeing, and systemic impacts of AuDHD across the career lifespan of members.

Develop and disseminate educational resources, guidance, and policy submissions relating to inclusive workforce and professional practices.

Facilitate collaboration and coordination between autism, ADHD, employment, and professional bodies to reduce duplication and systemic fragmentation.

Promote equity of access and inclusion for under-represented groups, including adults diagnosed later in life, women, gender-diverse people, First Nations peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and people in regional and remote Australia.

Membership of AuDHD Council of Australia

For people with lived experience of AuDHD who are employed, self-employed, or seeking work.

Purpose:

  • Ensure the Council remains lived-experience-led

  • Provide a structured way for individuals to influence policy

  • Build a national cohort without forcing disclosure at work.

Inclusions:

  • Voting rights

  • Eligibility for advisory councils and working groups

  • Access to workforce guidance resources

  • Participation in anonymous workforce surveys

  • Career-stage round tables

  • Member briefings on employment law, disclosure, accommodations, and burnout​

Price:

  • $105 + GST application fee (non-refundable)

  • $90 + GST membership fee per year (pro-rata to financial year)

AuDHD Council of Australia is the national peak body representing people with cooccurring autism and ADHD in the workplace. Working alongside existing organisations to improve outcomes, AuDHD Council of Australia also provides support and resources for the families and employers of its members.
